About Me

I’m an emerging author from South-West England and attended the University of Exeter, where I completed a BA in History and Ancient History and an MA in History.

After graduating, I published a short book on the early British Empire aimed at making history more accessible. With this done, I turned my attention to my real love, fiction. My first short story, the dystopian sci-fi thriller ‘Blood and Cookies’, won the Reedsy weekly short story contest. I haven’t looked back since, writing several stories in several genres, as well as working on my debut novel.

Although I write in a range of genres, my real areas of specialism are sci-fi and fantasy, and historical fiction. I’m particularly interested in the areas where these intersect, and I love writing sci-fi and fantasy stories influenced by myths, legends, and real historical events.

My interests include books (obviously), video games, virtually all sports,  and most animals, especially dogs (see below). In short, pretty much anything, which probably explains why my writing is such a diverse mix.
